In this case, if you buy a new memory and install it in the old computer, or use the new memory together with old memory, there may have incompatibility problems. Solution: Please refer to the motherboard's QVL List before buying the memory. Generally speaking, you only have to verify if the list has information such as (1) The memory manufacturer you wish to select. (2) What capacity is supported? (3) What frequency is supported? (4) How many sticks of memory can it install? It doesn't matter if the general public doesn't understand the external material number and CL value. Overclocking issues This is a complicated question with no fixed answer. It involves the relationship between CPU, motherboard and memory. There are too many scenarios, so here is some basic logic for reference. The most frequently heard questions are: (1) I bought a 3200MHz memory, but why does it only run at 2400MHz? (2) Your specification indicates that it can go up to 4000MHz but no matter how I overclock it, it is only 3600MHz? (3) If I buy a 3200MHz product, is it guaranteed to overclock to 4000MHz? First of all, if you have a question about overclocking, be sure to provide the motherboard model, CPU model, BIOS version you are using to help us determine the situation accurately. Otherwise, any answer that is not based on comprehensive judgment is invalid! Solution: (1) For frequency issues, the first thing to consider is whether the maximum frequency supported by the motherboard meets the specification of the memory you bought. Generally, just click on the SPEC page on the motherboard and scroll down to Memory and you will see the details. (2) CPU support After all, overclocking is not a standardized specification, which means only referring to the specifications listed on the INTEL and AMD websites is not enough. It takes experience to know how much memory frequency can be overclocked by the CPU. Different motherboards will have different results, but in general the higher the CPU is, the higher the memory frequency can be overclocked. The following is a brief explanation of overclocking. For INTEL, I recommend selecting products with K at the end of the model, such as I9-10900K, I7-10700K. For AMD, I recommend picking products with X at the end of the model, such as R9-3900X, R5-3600X. If your CPU doesn't happen to fall into one of the above categories, your memory frequency may be limited to be overclocked. (3) BIOS version This is the most overlooked problem. Sometimes memory supportability will be corrected during BIOS update process, and if the older version has not been updated, the memory frequency may be limited. BIOS update can be downloaded from the official website of the motherboard manufacturer. It is recommended that for those who have not updated before, go check out the update SOP provided by the motherboard manufacturer first, because errors in the process may cause the entire motherboard to fail! (4) Check the actual representative type of the specification label It means to determine whether the frequency indicated on the memory package is the native JEDEC standard frequency, or is the frequency after XMP is enabled. JEDEC is an international solid-state technology association that sets different parameters for different frequency bands of memory. As long as the memory is produced following JEDEC standard, consumers do not need to do anything after purchasing the memory, just plug the memory onto the motherboard to meet the specifications on the package. The other type requires XMP, which is classified as an overlocking product. After buying it home, the most basic way to do is to go into the BIOS and enable XMP, and then let the motherboard read the SPD value in the memory and automatically overclock to the frequency indicated on the package. Just google JEDEC and frequency you are looking for, you will find the corresponding CL value on web pages. If the frequency and CL value of the memory you purchased match, it means it is the frequency within JEDEC standard and you can use it immediately by plugging it in. If the CL value of the memory you bought is below the JEDEC standard, then it is the type required XMP. Please note that not all motherboards can support the latest JEDEC standard frequency! Recently, JEDEC 3200MHz memory is slowly appearing on the market, but only the latest motherboard chipsets support this frequency, including the INTEL Z490, Z390, AMD TRX40, X570, B550. Therefore, if your motherboard chipset is not among them, you need to check the type of memory you purchase. Another situation is when the memory belongs to the type that requires XMP, but you haven't gone into the BIOS to enable XMP after buying it home, then it will only display the frequency without being overclocked. That is why many consumers bought 3600MHz home, but only showen 2400MHz. 3. Fully equipped with 4 modules often do problems. For optical reasons, many would like to have all RAM banks equipped on the motherboard. Since everything with the X470 / X570 or Z390 or Z490 is designed for dual channel and two ram modules would be sufficient for this, problems often arise when using four modules. A solution approach is, for example, that you only plug two modules on the mainboard and activate XMP. When the mainboard starts up and the XMP settings have been correctly applied, you can increase the memory controller voltage in the BIOS / UEFI. With AMD it is the SOC voltage and with INTEL the VCCIO voltage. Increases the voltage in small steps (0.05V steps). Save the setting and switch off the PC. Have you ever encountered installing or boot issue while using the memory? Do you know how to use the memory correctly? Let’s introduce the simple memory debugging process now! 1. Installation method The correct hand position for installing the memory can ensure the force on the gold contacts of the memory is even to avoid damage. When installing the memory, make sure there’s no dust or foreign objects on the gold contacts of the memory and the motherboard slots. Foreign objects or dander might easily burn the memory. 2. PC won’t boot (Cannot enter BIOS) First, refer to the order of the motherboard memory slot. → Install the memory (single or dual channel) in the correct memory slots of the motherboard. → Check if it can boot normally. →dual channel →single channel The memory slots of each brand of the motherboard have a custom order. Please refer to the manual of the motherboard. If already installed in the correct position but still can’t boot. → Install a single memory in a slot of the motherboard in turns for testing. → Find out which memory has a problem / If the problem that the PC is unable to boot has been confirmed, please contact the manufacturer for repair. Cross test to see if there is a problem with the memory slots of the motherboard. → Install the memory that works normally in DIMM1~DIMM4 in turns to see if all DIMM slots are working. After reading this article, you will feel much more confident about it! 1. Keep the proof of purchase Generally speaking, SSDs are covered by a 3 to 5 year warranty from the date of purchase. Since it’s not like the way of logging in and uploading an invoice from motherboard or video card manufacturers to prolong the warranty, it is very important to keep the proof of purchase (invoices, receipts, electronic invoices, etc.). If the proof of purchase is lost, the warranty period will be advanced to ex-factory date, which may loss more than a week of the original warranty period. Don’t forget to protect your rights and interests. 2. Unpack the package of the SSD Unpacking an SSD package requires a few tips. Usually both 2.5” SATA and M.2 PCIe are protected inside a blister, especially M.2 SSD, which is thinner and more fragile than the memory, and may break in two if you unpack too violently. It is recommended that you push the SSD out of the blister instead of pulling it hard. 3. Verify the installation location The interfaces of 2.5” SSD and M.2 PCIe are completely different, and the corresponding connection locations on the motherboard are different as well. The supported interface of 2.5” SSD is SATA and requires separate power and SATA cables. The detailed location is as shown (Motherboard SATA location) (Power cable) (two ports of the 2.5” SSD) There’s nothing more annoying than having more and more cables in your PC, so the M.2 is simply a blessing to me, the editor. Using as system drive First, plug the UFD with Windows installation software into the computer and press DELETE to enter the BIOS. Make sure that the computer recognizes the newly installed SSD and UFD. (BIOS screenshot) Then go to BOOT, move the UFD to the first position, and adjust the newly installed hard drive to the second position, press F10 to save the changes and leave the BIOS. If the adjustments are made according to the above sequence, the computer should automatically reboot after leaving the BIOS and enter the Ready to install Windows screen. Format the SSD before installing Windows. After formatting, you can choose whether to split the capacity. Local drive (C:) and Local drive (D:) are what comes out the after partitioning, commonly known as C drive and D drive. If you have limited budget, you can setup a C drive with smaller capacity and a D drive with larger capacity, and try to install most of your applications in D drive. The simpler the C drive, the better. However, the downside of a single hard drive is that data may disappear if the hard drive is broken, so be sure to do an online cloud backup! If your budget is sufficient, it is recommended to buy a smaller capacity SSD as a boot drive (C:) and a larger capacity SSD as a data drive (D:). This way, there is no need for partitioning, you can have two hard drives in different drives. You don’t have to worry about the data on the data drive being affected if the boot drive is not working properly. 5. Using purely as data drive If you just want to expand a hard drive to store data, you can ski the previous step. However, you should pay attention that after installing and booting into Windows, you still can’t see the new drive because the hard drive has not been formatted and can’t be used directly Now, please move your mouse cursor to the Windows icon on the lower left and right click on the mouse Next, select Disk Management. Verify if the speed is up to the standard Nowadays, manufacturers in the market put the read/write speed of the SSD on the website and on the package. There is an unwritten rule that the speed manufacturers labeled is actually the higher value of the data they can actually measure. If you have average luck, the data you get from your home test will be slightly lower than indicated but not far off. If you are lucky, you might also get a faster SSD! After all, even the same controller with the same Flash IC may not have the same result. The following software is commonly used to test SSDs. The first thing you should do is to see if the Sequential speed (Sequential read/write speed) is the same as indicated. Open the package of the memory There are a few things to pay attention to on the packaging as well! The mainstream memory packaging on the market is divided into blister and carton sleeve packaging. The label information on the packaging is particularly important. BIOS setting After plugging it in, make sure there are no problems with other components first, and then boot the computer. However, please check the status of the memory in BIOS before entering Windows. Please press the DELETE button in the first screen after you press the boot button, or press DELETE like crazy after you press the boot button to enter the BIOS. There are some basic information after entering the easy mode screen of BIOS, but there’s not much that can be adjusted. You can adjust more with the memory after entering the advanced mode. Since different motherboard manufacturers have different hotkeys, you can refer to the description on the screen. The memory with frequency above 3200MHz on the market is dominated by overclocking memory. Only a few meet the native JEDEC 3200MHz specification, not to mention that high frequency such as 3600MHz, 4500MHz which require BIOS settings. Next, I’ll show you how to reach the overclocking frequency that the manufacturer claimed, so don’t ask again why only 2666MHz is displayed when you buy a 3600MHz one. Currently, there are four major motherboard manufacturers and they are divided into INTEL and AMD. This is a way to simply turn on XMP to read the content of the SPD in the memory. It is simple and easy for rookies, and you can correctly overclock to the frequency indicated in the memory by the following steps. If you want to adjust the frequency manually, here is a brief introduction to manual overclocking, but the matching of values and some more detailed adjustments require experience accumulation. In the same way, on the “Extreme Tweaker” page, please go to “DRAM Frequency” and press Enter to select the frequency. After selecting the frequency and press Enter to confirm, scroll down to “DRAM Timing Control” and press Enter, then you will see “DRAM CAS# Latency” which is the CL value. The next three cells of CL need to be adjusted accordingly, then try again on your own. After adjusting the CL value, voltage is the next to be considered. Press the left arrow key to go back to the previous page of the CL setting, go down to the “DRAM Voltage” and input voltage. It also requires experience to determine how much voltage is sufficient to support the set frequency. Reminder: It is recommended to increase the voltage little by little Setting too high at a time may cause memory damage! New gamers may not be able to get into Windows, and keep entering BIOS automatically due to incompatible values or settings that exceed the highest frequency supported by the motherboard and CPU. Now adjust the values again, or press the shortcut to restore all settings to default factory values, then you can enter Windows again! 5. Check the overclocking information At this point, the preparation is basically done. Don’t rush to play the game just yet, make sure that the content you just adjusted is actually working. Check the operation status of the memory by using the CPU-Z software. After downloading and running the software, click on the “Memory” at the top, and then look at the DRAM Frequency at the bottom. This error message is generated due to automatic generation of "Thumbs.db" file in a folder because of NTFS format. Such error message will not occur by deleting "Thumbs.db" file before copying the folder.
It is the problem of the FAT system. Most manufacturers formatted the USB disk in FAT file system. If you copy over 255 files to the USB disk at the same time, you can create a new folder or directly re-format the USB disk to FAT32 or exFAT. However, only the FAT format is compatible with most operating systems.
This is probably because your USB disk and another drive (e.g. web drive) use the same drive letter. To solve the problem, follow the instructions below to change the drive letter of your USB disk. Please follow: Right click[Management] Select [Disk management] Right-click the USB disk and select the Change Drive Letter and Path option from the function menu.
FAT 16 file formats can only support 2 GB size for a single file, and FAT32 file format can only support 4 GB size for a single file, so the NTFS or exFAT file format must be used instead for file sizes larger than 8 GB (including 8 GB). Please verify your file system format in advance.

SSD is an abbreviation for solid state disk. The conventional hard disk does not belong to "liquid" hard disk; solid state disk refers generally to solid state disk composed of NAND Flash. It has no mechanical structure and performs transfer via electronic signal compared to rotational disk design used in conventional hard disks. It utilizes characteristics of conventional NAND Flash and is composed of control unit and storage unit (FLASH chip). Data storage is achieved by the combination of the two units. Data is read and written in block writing and erasing manners. Thus, the efficiency of reading and writing relies on the design with respect to read-write technologies very much. It is advantageous of high speed, low power consumption, vibration resistance, high stability, low-temperature resistance etc.compared to current conventional hard disks.
Both are the same with respect to appearance and installation. Joints and wires are the same, too. The difference lies in the maximum data transfer rate.

The commercial CF card of Team Group is in standard Removable Disk Mode, which does not support hard disk mode. The industrial CF card of Team Group is in Fixed Disk Mode, which supports hard disk mode.

Please identify that the video recording time is set to limit, instead of fixed time. If card format is FAT32, the recording would be stopped as 4GB of recording is reached because a single file cannot exceed 4GB. This problem may be solved as long as card format is changed to NTFS or exFAT if the two formats are supported by the machine.

When users wish to over-clock the memory module, they must manually adjust relevant parameters, such as clock speed, working voltage, CL, tRCD, tRP and tRAS from the BIOS. Therefore, it is time- and labor consuming, especially to beginners. As a solution, NVIDIA extended the SPD by adding more parameter combinations to the unused space, about 29 bytes, in conventional SPD. As long as the supported motherboards are used, the BIOS can automatically detect the optimal module settings to easily release the performance of modules. This feature is called the EPP, Enhanced Performance Profiles.

DDR3 and DDR4 are not compatible because they are different in both pin count, arrangement, and signal definitions. In addition, locations of fool-proof notches on the golden fingers are different, so both are not compatible.
Though the DDR3 module is developed based on the DDR2 and also uses the 240-pin design, both the pin layout and signal definition of the DDR3 module are different. The difference is also seen in the fool-proof cut on the gold finger. Therefore, they are not compatible. Moreover, the DDR3 has enhanced I/O buffer performance by means of the 8-bit prefetch technology. Therefore, it can break through the clock speed limit of the DDR2 module. As a result, the data rate of the DDR3 module begins from 800MHz, and it will increase to DDR3-1066, DDR3-1333, and DDR3-1600 in the future.
Refer to the user manual of the motherboard. The additional setting is unnecessary because BIOS on the motherboard would detect SPD parameters on Memory Modules automatically after the memory has been installed.
